- We will check on grades and attitudes throughout the season. We want our players to go above and beyond what is expected from "normal" students. There are people who do not want to see you succeed. You are under a microscope.
- If grades fall below a C minus, practice privileges may be taken away and a study table will be implemented at 6:45 AM on Monday & Wednesday.
- We don't want to see players coming to class or school late!
- Clean facial and a traditional short hair cut.
- Look first class, act first class, be first class!
Health
- School organization is key. Do not cram for tests. Less Stressed.
- Make sleep a priority.
- Eat as soon as possible after practice.
- Increase the intake of water, fruits, and pasta (carbs).
- Dress appropriately for the changing weather (hat, sweatshirt, coat).
- Don't do anything detrimental to the team.
- 10:00 day before a game; 12:00 weekend.
- Sleep deprivation always hits you the 2nd day.
- No cell phones behind the benches for any reasons.
- No cell phones in the locker room before practices or games. Turn them off when you get to the gym.
- No cell phone usage on bus trip unless to call parents to pick you up.
- Varsity players should be seated behind the bench prior to tip-off of the JV game. (8th seated for 7th)
- Same goes for the JV players during varsity games. (7th seated for 8th-must stay for whole game)
- Pay attention to the game and encourage your teammates.
- No girlfriends or non-team personnel should be seated in this area.
- Playing time is EARNED through high efforts in practice, production during games, match-ups, being coach-able, a team first attitude, and getting the job done.
Locker Room
- The TEAM is responsible for keeping the facility clean.
- Only clean music will be tolerated.
Bus Rides
- Early is on time and on time is late.
- All players must ride to and from games/scrimmages (Board Policy).
Other Sport Involvement
- Limit to skill work only (baseball example: hitting, no pitching; soccer example; juggling/ball skills).
- No other leagues (YMCA. Intramurals).
